The Ellis Ballet
Elaine Ellis a former dancer with the Ballet Rambert Company and a life member of the Royal Academy of Dance founded the Ellis Ballet School in 1971.
The school has grown to become a well-established and successful dance community in West London currently teaching approximately 160 pupils.
Dance provides and outlet for expression for the young and old alike. As teaching members of the RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) and ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) students undergo formal dance training and Examinations to enable them to progress into professional dancing careers.
These Examinations are optional and are not required to enjoy your love of dance, however, any student wishing to pursue a dance career will be supported in their ultimate goal.
An important part of the dance training is the ability to perform. We offer many opportunities to take part in local productions, many community events and performance in our own school productions.
Our students acquire an in depth knowledge of the Art of Classical Ballet and the History of ballet and the massive curve that Tap has taken over the decades. Understanding this our students are able to undertake the requirements of teaching this to others.
Former students have appeared in West End productions, including Cats, Miss Saigon, Billy Elliot, The Nutcracker (ENB), West side story, Hairspary & Carmen (UK touring company) most recently the West End production of Half a Sixpence.
Along with Princess and Crystal Cruise ships and a number of Pantomimes & Adverts as well as TV shows including Cbeebies, Milkshake, Bad Education and Doctors.
The school has a supportive network of teachers who are all registered and CRB checked
